Mental health disorders are affecting children, teenagers, and adults in many different ways. They affect the way we behave and interact with our world. Mental health disorders can take control of our lives if not addressed properly. Most people go to the doctor for their aches and pains, but they view mental health as a stigma and do not want to get help for the conditions that they have. Some common examples of mental health disorders that people struggle with are anxiety and depression.
Symptoms of Mental Health Dissorders
In the U.S, 40 million people suffer from some sort of anxiety disorder. Anxiety starts in children because of the screen time they are forced into. Anxiety gives us a constant state of stress, worry, and nervousness. These symptoms can make you feel overwhelmed and cause you to break down. Anxiety can interfere with your life and always put you in a constant state of worry if not addressed properly.
Anxiety and Depression
In the U.S, 20 million people suffer from some sort of depression. Depression makes people feel isolated and alone, and they feel like they can’t escape. For some people, it can get so bad that their mental health deteriorates, and their thoughts cause them to commit suicide. Depression drains away your hope and motivation and gives you a feeling of emptiness inside. These 2 mental health conditions can be treated and averted with medication and therapy. If properly treated, you can live a functional and enjoyable life. We as people need to do a better job act educating and get rid of the stigma of mental health.
